Congaree National Park

After my two meetings (one at SC.gov, the other one at the Palmetto Conservation) in Columbia yesterday I decided to visit Congaree National Park.

Congaree National Park is the only National Park in South Carolina. The drive there is not so pretty but the park makes more than up for it. At the visitor center real park rangers show you around and help you plan your hiking experience. Besides hiking you can also camp and fish there. Unfortunately I didn't bring any hiking equipment so I just walked the boardwalk tour. It was a great experience!
